Ohmydamn.

School has never left me so mentally, physically and emotionally drained. I'm in my first semester of my Sophomore year of college and its only mid-October and I'm spent.

My nights are spent up until at least 2 am and then getting up anywhere from 6 to 7:30 depending on the day and attending class, doing assignments and studying.

Throw in extra-curriculars and that's my life. No time or money to go out to the mall, movies, etc. If I didn't enter this school year with so many great friends, I'd probably be screwed in the social life department. And the fact I rather not get wasted at disgusting Town Houses leaves me single.

So you can understand why this blog only sees weekly updates. As for beauty posts? I'm trying! I do not really have funds to throw away on makeup and any I get it's because its something I need like a fresh mascara to replace my stale one and you can sure bet its from CVS. I have such a long mental wish list of products I'd love to get at MAC or Sephora for when I have some disposable funds.

But that is so not here. Though I am tempted to splurge for just one MAC shadow because of its quality and the color's versatility...

Anywho.

I'm also sick! I got over whatever I had last week and got something new! Ugh!

I am planning on a few posts. I've got some ideas! I just need some time to take photos and write it all out.

Until then, follow me on Twitter! @xxChelseeea !! I do tweet alot, its procrasination-fatigue at its finest!

The Sickest Review in the History of Legally Strawberry Blonde!!!

Hey y'all!

HERE IS THE BEST REVIEW EVER. I had no idea how many people thought this product was awesome and wanted one until I tweeted about it.

That's right. THE SNUGGIE!!

The backwards bathrobe! The blankets with sleeves! The comfiest thing ever!!

So I'm sure ya know about it. You've seen it been mocked but I honestly wanted one since I first saw it. I'm a fan of comfort and blankets. And while I may not have a "drafty dorm room" (its actually 80* in my room, 50* outside) I still sometimes have the need for a blanket!

And come on! Who isn't a lazy ass when they're engulfed in the comfort of a blanket? Answer the phone with a blanket wrapped around me like a cocoon? Hell no! You want me to hold a baby? Sorry but no can do, I'm trapped in my blanket.

Well thank God we have the Snuggie. No more struggling with the complexity that are blankets.

I, of course, got mine in Pink. And was so damn excited. It is everything I thought it was and more. It is an oversized blanket with sleeves and by oversized I mean its HUGE! I'm 6 foot and it still has fabric on the ground when I stand up! Amazing!

The sleeves are also super long! And the material is beyond warm. Ever since I got my Snuggie, I have worn it to bed everynight over my pjs! Why? Because I'm a neat freak and hate unmaking my perfectly made bed! It kept me warm and comportable all night!

The only thing I can say that surpsied me about it, was that the material is thinner than I thought. But nonetheless it keeps you insulated.

Snuggies can be found almost everywhere. I got mine at Bed, Bath and Beyond for $14.95 and a 20% coupon! AND YOU STILL GET THE FREE BOOKLIGHT!

(Please excuse my hideousness, I'm getting over an allergic reaction, be thankful my eyes aren't swollen shut in these photos like they were the other day, haha!)

Snapshot_20091010

Comfy? Yes! Would I wear outside of my dorm? Probably not...maybe in my super cold class...haha jk?!

Snapshot_20091010_5

I already have an ass kicking book light, so I use mine for my purse. Awesomest use ever!

I have seen in Bed, Bath & Beyond, Target, Walmart, CVS, As Seen on TV store...

So do you have one? Want one? Tell me! And I do plan on getting one for my dog...(https://www.snuggiefordogs.com/flare/next)

Where You At?!

Hey y'all!

I just wanna do a little update about my whereabouts. This past week and a half I've been sick with some kind of crappy bug and yesterday I woke up with my eye swollen shut! Yeah, ew! I had an allergic reaction to something (don't know what) and my eyes looked like Swedish meatballs.

I'm feeling a wee bit better but I've been spending my night up late studying and its gonna get worse because midterms are this week!

But I'm hoping on one of my study breaks, I'll do a quick post! I have a few good ideas in mind!

Drama Curls!

I know in my old blog I did a post about curly hair but I wanted to redo it, and tell ya how I manage my thick, course, curly, wavy, pain in the ass hair!

024

Healthy hair is happy hair! I know..horrible!

1. DO NOT BRUSH YOUR HAIR
Unless you want to look like my golden retriever....which I do when a brush comes close to my hair! The brush will obviously destroy your curl and cause frizz and cause you're hair to poof like it never has before! For knots, I'll use a wide tooth comb while my hair has conditioner in it.

2. Feed your hair!
No, don't plant your hair in your dinner, silly. Give it moisture! The easiest way to do this is using shampoos and conditioners that are moisturizing. While you may be tempted to pick up a product that claims to smooth and de-frizz your hair, pick up something that will moisturize. Without moisture, you'll get frizz, fly-aways, dead ends and lifeless curls!
My recommendation: I'm a big fan of Garnier Fructis! Try their Moisture Works shampoo and conditioner. (I'm using the Pantene Moisutre Renewal now and HATE it! But I gotta finish it!)

3. Don't let shampoo scare you!
So many people no longer shampoo everytime they shower because many have claimed the shampoo strips hair of its natural oils. But this is how I see it. Would you put makeup on when you already makeup on? No! You'd remove it first! I think of shampoo as the same way if you use products in your hair. Water alone from the shower isn't enough to remove product from your but a nice lather of shampoo will. Just don't rinse and repeat (do bottles even say that anymore?!)! However if you don't use product then do what you feel best!

4. Leave your conditioner in!
While in the shower I leave my conditioner in for a good 3-5 minutes. This gives your hair time to drink it in. Also only condition your hair from the top of your ears and down, if you put too much on the top of your head it will weigh your hair down. One thing I do is when I'm done in the shower but before I get out I add a tiny spot of conditioner into my hair.

5. Do not towel dry!
Rubbing a towel on your wet locks will cause them to become frizzy and limp. You don't want to destroy any natural curls/waves! When I'm in the shower I'll just gently do a squeeze-scrunch or a squench do get extra water out but still leave it like sopping wet. And yes I'll then style it this way!

6. How I style!
I style my hair when it is WET. No drying medium other than my hands. I'll mix some leave in conditioner and a gel and then just scrunch my hair (upside down, for more volume!) for a minute or two and add more if I need to. Flip my hair over and then usually pin my bangs back! Really that's all! And I always get compliments on it when it took me less than 5 minutes!! I have huge, thick, course hair so I do have to use a lot of product so I tend to buy gels that are larger. One I have been using since Jr. High is LA Look's Curl. Its like under 4 bucks and will last me a month or two. Its either that or Garnier's Curl Scrunch gel but that lasts me around 3 weeks. And my leave in conditioner of choice is Garnier's Sleek & Shine leave in conditioner.

So curly haired girls, how do you deal with your hair? Any products or tips? I'd love to hear :)

Its Like a Freaking Ruby that Was Melted and Poured into a Nailpolish Container!

Hi guys!

I'm gonna do a review today on Zoya nailpolishes in the colors, Tori and Isla.

First a little background on Zoya, if there was such a thing as "eco-friendly" nail polish then this is it! I'm not a tree hugger but what caught my eye about Zoya was that its free of harsh chemicals like formaldehyde, toluene, dibutyl phtalate and camphor. Which is awesome do not have to worry about breathing in any of those harsh chemicals!

Onto the review!

Tori: After one coat it totally reminds me of Dorthy's slippers from the Wizard of Oz. Red with super mega sparkle! 2 coats and its true to the color in the bottle, a super pigmented mid-range red packed with a ton of sparkle!

011

Ignore my horrendous DIY manicure job. Focus on the color!

Isla: The title of this post is how I'd describe it. If you were to take a red almost blood red ruby and melt it, you'd get this polish color! It is beyond gorgeous and pigmented! For all ya crazy Twilight fans, this is sooo Vampirish. But honestly, the best way to describe it is a melted ruby.

021

Again, ignore my horrendous DIY pedicure job. This photo does no justice! Then again I was bent like a pretzel to take the photo!

The Polish: I left all my nail stuff at my house so I don't have any top coat but this still lasted a week! It dried relatively fast, but like all polishes, you still have to wait 30 or so minutes to let it dry sans a topcoat with a fast drying formula!

016

The Verdict: Once I have some spare money (psh, I'm in college...) I'd soo get more! The colors are so pigmented and gorgeous and reasonably priced for a Professional polish at $6 a bottle! They can be bought at salons that use Zoya and Zoya.com

Hey guys!

I just thought I'd do a little personal blog so you all know what is going on in my life at the moment.

Well, I am back in school! I have been for the past week! I'm all moved in and (photos in a past post) and settled into my classes.

For those of you who may not know, I'm a sophomore and a Criminal Justice major with Honors. And it has been so much work! Though I'm not enrolled in any honors courses (I was accepted into the program late in the summer, when all the good classes filled up!) I am taking a lot of classes for my major. My law, criminal justice and forensics classes are all very labor intensive classes, a TON of reading and note-taking! Its only been a week into classes and I've already been up studying until three in the morning. I'm also pre-law and have all that goodness to worry about too.

I just thought I'd fill you in, between beauty posts! Nothing too exciting in my life except studying all the time!!
