Hello lovelies!
This is going to be a more serious post but its something I really want to share and spread the word about. Hair.
I know, personally, my hair is like my personality. Its bright, red and curly. And I can't imagine losing it. But for a lot of people suffering from cancer, they lose ALL their hair because of cancer treatment. They're losing a part of them. I've heard stories of women being to embarrassed to shop, work or just go out.
A very, very close relative of mine had undergone cancer treatment and lost her hair. When I saw that, I knew that one day I wanted to donate my hair.
And today I did. Today I donated 8 inches to Pantene's Beautiful Lengths to make beautiful, durable, realistic wigs for cancer patients.
Pantene, unlike some other similar charities, is a partner to the American Cancer Society. As Pantene puts it, "A real-hair wig allows a woman to look in the mirror and at least see a familiar face while she fights to regain a sense of normalcy in her life."
Couldn't have said it better. So what can you do?! Donate!!
Its so simple and you'll look and feel good!
All you have to do is just sacrifice 8 inches of hair to make someone feel beautiful again, to give someone confidence again.
That's it!
Visit here for information about donating and for more information about the cause visit here !!
Hair too short to donate? Spread the word! And grow that hair! Keep it healthy!!
Before
Before, middle of my back. Like my pants ;) Haha
Now my hair is above my shoulder!
The hairdresser kept telling me she never saw hair that thick!!
