Wait Isn't This Supposed To Make Look Tanner?!

Screw, Snow White, I am the fairest of them all. I mean that in the I AM SO FREAKING PALE way. I'm a shade up from White-Out, a bit more pink than a snow-flake. Its easy for me to pick out a foundation or concealer, I just pick out the lightest color. Its either just right or too orange/dark.

With all the said, I'm in need of a bronzer. I don't typically wear bronzer but I thought one of my makeup goals for the Spring/Summer would be to find the perfect bronzer to bring some life to my pale skin.

So I picked up Maybelline's new Fit Me Bronzer in Light Bronze. The whole Fit Me line is supposed to be customized to your skin tone, and supposed to make it easier to find shades that compliment you. Being as I'm the 2nd to lightest shade (I know right?! Only because the lightest shade had warm undertones!) I went with the complimentary bronzer.

It looked on the more matte-side and like it would provide a nice healthy color. And it was under 5 bucks! Whaaat!

Sounds great, right?

Yeah, if it SHOWED up! That's right, no matter how hard or long I try to get it to show, nothing is coming up (that's what she said!). Using a brush? Forget about it! I'd probably have to get the whole pan on the brush to have it show up.

Not only that but it came off as looking shimmery! If anything, thats all you see! No warm healthy glow. If any female (or even male) resident of Jersey saw this, they'd assume its White-Out.

So MAJOR fail, I also tried the Fit Me powder and loathed it, it also lacked pigmentation. Oh well. Unless you're snow leopard, don't bother with this bronzer!

Any bronzer recommendations for a pale girl? I'm a MAC NW15 :) Tell me your favorite bronzers!

MiO May Be Italian For Mine, but I Don't Want It.

Hello Lovelies!

I need to drink more water. Half the time when we think we are hungry, it is just our bodies saying that we need more water! But I am not a fan of straight-up water.

I buy cute pink bottles for my water, I even have a fuscia Brita pitcher, and I'd like my drinking water to not feel like a chore.

Then I saw an ad for MiO, a liquid water enhancer. Basically, you add a few drops of it to your water and it transforms it to something delicious and more fun.

I went to Target today to pick one up, I also had a lovely coupon for $1 off any MiO. I decided to get the "Berry Pomegranate" flavor.

So I put a drop in.

Nothing. Still tasted like water. So I shook it. And then, it tasted a little sour. I decided to add another squirt. Then I took another gulp.

And it reminded me of something. I was hoping it would remind me of my favorite juice ever, which is Minute Maid Pomegranate Blueberry, but oh no. Totally not.

When you get a CT scan, you are instructed to drink a disgusting compound, Barium Sulfate Suspension, it basically makes your insides glow for the scan, and words cannot describe how horrible it is.

Well, that's what this MiO reminded me of. Nowhere, as horrible, but the after-taste just reminds me of that horrible compound.

Barely taste any pomegranate, a bit too sour, and can't identify the "berry" in it. It has this artificial sugar-syrup flavor, which tastes disgustingly fake.

I hoped it would be an amazing zero calorie drink but I am ready to go get a plan glass of water! And it didn't do pretty swirly-magic like the ads show!

In case you are curious, these cost about $3.50 for 24 servings and available at Target, Walmart and some major grocery stores! I think I'll stick to Crystal Lite!!

Anyone try MiO before? Get a CT scan and now about that awful crap they make you drink?!

Date Night At the Aquarium Look!

Hello Lovelies!

I'm the type of girl who pretty much wears all neutrals/browns/peaches/champagnes for my shadow, and if I wear a color it might be a light pink or "Stars 'N Rockets" from MAC. But color? Not so much.

But lately I've had a craving for color! So I decided to hit up the drugstore (because I had $20 EXTRA BUCKS!) and found this quad from Maybelline! Its their EyeStudio quad in "Sapphire Siren" and I am in love with the two blue shades.

They. Are. So. Pigmented.

So I did a look with them and thought I'd share but alas my camera is not AT ALL reflecting the colors, I tried a thousand different settings/lighting combinations but nothing! Hopefully you get it!

I could totally call this a "mermaid look" but that's so unoriginal. Instead I'll call it a date night at the aquarium look! Hahaha, but that would be awesome ;)

• Inner 1/4 and tear-duct is the white shade (which is a little powdery, be careful!)
• Inner 3/4 is the gorgeous sea-foam green-teal color, the white brightens it a bit!
• Outer 1/4 is the beautiful cobalt blue and then I swept it into the crease
• Added the black sparkly shade to the outer corner and highlighted with the white!

(These photos seriously do NO justice for the color pay-off, I promise!)

BTW I came up with the perfect pick-up line for the aquarium: "Is that your dorsal fin, or are you just happy to see me?"

Top 10 Lipglosses!

Once upon a time, I hated lip gloss. I know...WHAAT? Now I'm addicted. So here are my favorite lipglosses! Some of these probably come as no surprise! And these are in no particular order!

1. Chanel Glossimer in "Constellation"

Why I ♥ It! Its a sheer gloss with tons of mult-colored glitter that makes it universally awesome for any lipstick or any makeup look! You could pair seriously over any color and it'd add a little awesome sparkle to it!

2, 3 and 4. Revlon Colorburst Lipglosses in "Hot Pink", "Peony" and "Strawberry"

Why I ♥ It! These are ridiculously opaque and pigmented and AMAZING. "Hot Pink" is a bright-blue based-pink, "Peony" is half pink, half peach and mixed with gold sparkle (think of NARS' "Orgasm" and "Strawberry" is a nice light red with pink sparkle. SO PIGMENTED AND AMAZING!

5. MAC Dazzleglass in "Money, Honey"

Why I ♥ It! Its a gorgeous deep-hot-pink with magenta sparkle and is like a pink disco ball on the lips! A little sticky but lasts a while on the lips, for me!

6. Stila Lip Glaze in "Grapefruit"

Why I ♥ It! Its a great baby pink and is relatively matte, doesn't have a ton of shimmer but not completely matte! Leaves a beautiful shine!

7. MAC Lipglass in "Nymphette"

Why I ♥ It! Beautiful dusty-pink and bronze color with a bit of shimmer! A must-have for me in the summer! Looks great with almost everything, probably my favorite MAC gloss!

8. LORAC Multiplex Lipgloss in "Polished"

Why I ♥ It! These glosses seriously are multidimensional and amazing! I love this one because its a pretty salmony-pink but has a pretty opal effect! Love!

9 and 10. Urban Decay Pocket Rockets in "David" and "Eric"

Why I ♥ It! Sexy Men + Gloss = Win. And while these babies are a little on the sheer side, they fill in the lines of my lips and make them look and feel juicy!

Makeup Dreams Do Come True!!!!!!

Hello Lovelies!

Remember a month or so ago I de-potted my Urban Decay Prime Potion (hereizzle!)? And anyone who has used and loved UDPP has had one complaint: CAN YOU PUT IT IN A DAMN TUBE.

Because while the genie-bottle is totes adorbs, its totes impractical! Because you can't get all the product out! And my depotted UDPP dried out in a month.

BUT NOW! NOW THEY HAVE UDPP IN A TUBE! AND I BELIEVE IT SHALL BE PERMANENT! When I saw it, I screamed louder than a tween screams when she sees the Biebs!

And unlike the "professional" size tube they released around the holidays, it actually comes out! It comes out quite nicely, actually! THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID.

Anyways, if you're interest in the review of this product, I did one over a year ago over here!

WHO IS EXCITED?! This baby is $19 and UD is claiming you get 10% more than the old packaging which was $18! I will definitely be picking up "Sin" version! I'm almost out of it!

Pink Lip Love!

Hello Lovelies!

I know, I'm a bad blogger! But I have A TON going on with school right now, like its going way beyond the normal school stress! Just keep your fingers crossed that I can get into my school's nursing program! ♥ ♥

But I wanted to share this lip combo, because I am loving it! I would pair it with a light color on the eyelid (MAC "Dazzlelight","Shroom","Naked Lunch" or even a pink like Urban Decay's "SWF!) and of course a nice sweep of black liquid liner!
